The Recovery Model is an approach for substance dependence that emphasizes and supports a teen's potential for recovery. Recovery can be seen within the model as a personal journey requiring hope, a secure base, supportive relationships, empowerment, social inclusion, coping skills, and finding meaning. A number of standardized measures have been developed to assess aspects of recovery.
Elements of Recovery
It has been emphasized that each individual teen's journey to recovery is a deeply personal and individual process, as well as being related to an individual's community and society. A number of features have been proposed as common core elements:
Hope
Finding and nurturing hope has been described as the key to recovery. It is said to include not just optimism but a sustainable belief in oneself and a willingness to persevere through uncertainty and setbacks. Hope may start at a certain turning point, or emerge gradually as a small and fragile feeling, and may fluctuate with despair. It is said to involve daring to trust in yourself and other people and to risk disappointment, failure and further hurt. Secure base A good home, financial security, freedom from violence, and proper health care have also been proposed as foundations to recovery.
*Supportive relationships A common aspect of recovery is said to be the presence of others who believe in the person's potential to recover, and who stand by them. While mental health professionals can offer a particular limited kind of relationship and help foster hope, relationships with friends, family and the community are said to often be of wider and longer-term importance. Group therapy with those who may be on a journey of recovery, can be of particular importance. Those who share the same values and outlooks more generally may also be particularly important. It is said that one- way relationships based on being helped can actually be devaluing, and that reciprocal relationships and mutual support networks can be of more value to self-esteem and recovery.
Empowerment and Inclusion Empowerment and self-determination are said to be important to recovery, including having control. This can mean developing the confidence for independent assertive decision-making and proper help-seeking.
Coping strategies The development of personal coping strategies (including self-management or self-help) is said to be an important element. This can involve making use of medication or psychotherapy if the teen is fully informed and listened to, including about adverse effects and about which methods fit with the teen's life and their journey of recovery. Developing coping and problem solving skills to manage individual traits and problem issues may require a person becoming their own expert, in order to identify key stress points and possible crisis points, and to understand and develop personal ways of responding and coping.

Why Women Stay In An Abusive Dating Relationship by Francis K. Githinji
Life is short just live it to the fullest. Even when you are dating a person, you are in that relationship because you love that person and it makes you happy to be in love. But when your point of affection, your source of happiness turns into a tormentor, you have every reason to be very worried. When did things start changing for the worse? What really went wrong? And why for heavens sake should you stick to an abusive relationship? Why would you allow a person to trash and trample upon your very basic rights? An abusive dating relationship is unhealthy. It is a relationship sitting on a powder keg. It can go off any time. It is a time bomb waiting to explode unless very urgent measures are taken to arrest the situation before it goes out of hand.
An abusive dating relationship shows there are disparities between the couple which can either be bridged or the divide is too wide to fill. Understanding the root cause of the problem is important in order to comprehend this weighty issue. A dating relationship is a two way traffic. Partners compliment each other. One partner's needs are met and fulfilled in the other. It is so mutual and symbiotic you feel bereaved when your mate is not there. What i am trying to say here is that compatibility is the key word. It is what glues two people together. An abusive dating relationship is an indicator of incompatibility. What would drive you to abuse a person you "love". If your partner is abusing you, try and see where you went wrong. Also evaluate your partner, how he relates with you, his background. Maybe he was brought up in an abusive relationship or he was abused in his childhood.
Sometimes a woman stay in an abusive dating relationship for the sake of their children. What would happen if she calls it quit? She becomes hesitant fearing the repercussions her children will face in case of a separation. But what would bridge this gap? Can this couple be reconciled and be able to live again harmoniously and in love? It depends with the two parties concerned. Their is no issue however contentious that cannot be discussed and solved. However if the feelings of attraction, love and affection are no longer there, then the relationship is irreparable. You cannot change the way a person feels towards something. Quit and look for a new beginning.
Your partner could be trying to pass a message to you. He could be showing you a red light. That it is high time you went separate ways, only that you don't seem to pick the signal. He doesn't want to tell you in black and white that go and never turn back. The spark that kept the fire burning is no longer there hence there is no reason to stick together. When in an abusive dating relationship, it is wise to always have an exit avenue. Be prepared psychologically that you can quit and go your separate way. If your partner is abusing you he also does not respect you. You mean nothing to him. Do not stick there, move on. It's your life. You might never know what you have been missing until you quit that relationship.

It is no wonder to see a partner advanced in years yet so young in spirit. Such a person will forever remain in full bloom regardless of the advancement in age. Such a partner will keep things interesting since everything new is embraced with interest and new ideas are part of him or her.
What is your marriage based on? The platform you base your marriage on is very important. If it is based on love you have less to do otherwise if it is for convenience you really have a lot to do. It is logic to find fun in marriage if it is driven by love. Convenience advocates for selfish ways. When one partner dictates what is to be done, things are not done out of interest but out of compliance or obedience. For an interesting and a happy Marriage, discuss you actions and establish an agreement. This keeps things interesting.

In marriage too, avoid accommodating small things which might be poisonous to your relationship. An interesting and a happy Marriage requires you to shun bad behaviors which might turn your partner off. Cleanliness is an instance which might make your partner to view you in bad light. To keep your marriage interesting, try hard to avoid monotony because it will kill your relationship. You might have a marriage but no relationship.
Change the way things happen after a while to keep things interesting. A good example is eating out or sleeping out when you can. Hey, i have also discovered that it is not all about perfection but affection. Do not try to act an angel to your partner. Try as much as possible to improve your wanting areas but be who you are! It breeds a very interesting and a happy Marriage! By this i mean you might want to give an impression that you are slow to anger and you do not quarrel. How To Deal With A Bad Mannered Man In Your Life by Francis K. Githinji
Hey loving girl, this is for you sweat heart. You might have noticed something about your man which makes you think of giving him a boot. The big question is, how do you you even approach it? To dump a bad mannered man does not simply involve the word go. It is more than that. Many are wasting time staying in sad relationship trying to solicit ways of dumping him. May be it is the striking resemblance between him and of your colleague's baby. May be you have noticed a change of behavior and you suspect he might be engaged elsewhere. Do not wait for more. Damp that Bad mannered man. Do not waste your time trying to win him back. Women have strong gut instincts and when your intuition tells you it is gone, act fast and first. Damp that bad mannered man. What would you rather do? Damp a bad mannered man or be dumped by him? Many will always go for the latter.
It is understandable why you are hesitating to do the damping. May be you have no evidence for your accusations or a clear reason as to why you should leave. The truth is hard to say since it does not work well with your man. Some things are better left unsaid. I know the last thing you want to do is to hurt his self esteem. I beg you sister do not say it plainly. If you can't handle his bad breath cook up a reason. He has invested so much in you and you are in a fix not knowing how to dump that bad mannered man. Do not sympathize with him explain your cause and leave immediately. Staying around might wobble your stand. Many have the habit of using cell phones, notes or even e-mail to pass the message. This shows you are not serious with your mission. A face to face conversation is the best course as much as it might be nerve wrecking. Men rarely believe hearsay and will want to hear it from the horses own mouth. Now you can easily damp a bad mannered man because you do not have to deal with valentine blues. You are delaying the damping to enjoy the valentine. Worse still may be he did not meet the expectations on valentine day. If he did not respond to the only one day in a year he might let you down miserably in future. Women believe they can change their men. This is a big mistake and if you are not care full enough to damp that bad mannered man you might engage in marriage with the knowledge of his not so good behavior. I forgive you to think you can change him but men are resistant to change. This will lead to your disappointment. If you doubt his provision, do not go ahead. Damp that bad mannered man.
Many women tend to throw some hints here and there. Few men will get it. They are poor in reading the labels. In your attempt to pass the message he will take it as female behaviors. You might fall back soon. Attack that bad mannered man head on collision. Tell him or work out a more direct dumping plan. The delay might cost you more than expected.

Social Issues: Nuclear Terrorism, a Very Real Threat by Bill Butler
"We don't know how many there are or where they are, and there is nothing we can do about it." The scene is the White House in Washington, D.C. The president of the United States is speaking to his aides, about the crude nuclear weapons that have now been smuggled into the country. Government security agencies around the world are aware of a plot to build these devices and possess proof that al Qaeda has selected the United States as their primary target. The president and other government officials must now face the likelihood they will know where these bombs are only when they are detonated, and it is only a matter of time!
So goes the narrative of the docudrama Last Best Chance produced by the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI). NTI is a public charity founded in 2001 in the United States to strengthen global security by reducing the spread of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, and to reduce the risk that they will actually be used. Though fiction, the film is based on facts about inadequate security for nuclear weapons and materials that could lead to a scenario like the one portrayed. It was created to increase public awareness of what confronts not only American cities but many major cities around the world.
Although terrorism isn't the only reason to fear nuclear weapons, most experts agree that the possibility these weapons may fall into the hands of terrorists poses the greatest world threat. But are the goals and philosophies of terrorist organizations the only factor that has increased the potential for nuclear catastrophe? Or, does a substantial part of the responsibility lie with bureaucrats at all levels in nations around the world? After all, the lack of focus, cooperation and commitment of resources exhibited by bureaucrats at all levels must certainly contribute to the challenges of coping with this danger.
Michael Kraig, of The Stanley Foundation Courier magazine explores these questions in "Making Counterterrorism a Global Effort." This article provides insight into the efforts of the United Nations to build a strategic framework for response to terrorism. Kraig speaks to the need to provide a universal definition of terrorism and outlines the challenges presented by clashing agendas, the modern media and inadequate education on the subject.
In October 2007 a group of academics, policy advocates, and government officials gathered for the Stanley Foundation's annual Strategy for Peace Conference to discuss options for securing, consolidating and eliminating fissile materials. An informative conference report titled "Lockdown, CleanOut, FissBan," is currently available on the Foundation's Web site.
Terrorism is a heinous crime against society and culture. There is no logical basis, no valid rationale to support its use. Yet it seems to have become the weapon of choice for many radical religious and/or political groups. That a variety of nuclear devices and fissile materials are now spread around the world among an increasing number of nations has added to the potential that terrorist activities may escalate. The Board of Directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago has featured the well-known symbolic Doomsday Clock on the cover of each issue since 1947. The clockface is meant to display how close the human race is to "midnight," where midnight represents catastrophic nuclear destruction. Its hands are currently set at five minutes before midnight, having been advanced by two minutes on January 17, 2007. According to Executive Director Dr. Kennette Benedict one of the reasons for advancement of the clock was the growing threat of the use of nuclear weapons by terrorist groups.
Will nothing but a radioactive mushroom cloud over one or more of our major cities awaken the international community to the seriousness of the problem? Obviously, such a catastrophe is not the way to motivate the necessary action.
Is it the cruel hatred of terrorists that has brought us so much closer to a nuclear nightmare that would kill and injure tens of thousands of people? Or is it the lack of an intelligent international response to that threat? It is both, of course. But the problem goes much deeper--it originates in the human heart.

Rediscovering the Language of Values by David Hulme
A British acquaintance formerly in government recently observed that the world is lacking the language of values. He commented further on the need in his current profession for a revival of the terms of ethical discourse. He has been shocked at the inability of leaders of various kinds to apply such language to serious social issues.
Is it merely coincidence that right now a debate is developing in the United Kingdom over the reinvigoration of the traditional family and its responsibility for moral education and the instilling of values in the young? The societal shifts that have compromised the family unit over the past several decades have been blamed for the alienation and associated violence that is plaguing the country. Almost every day the news carries a story about a stabbing or shooting perpetrated by the young on those more vulnerable.
Discussing a particularly brutal attack by a gang of youths on a 50-year-old "best father anyone could wish for," a British detective startled the morning TV audience by admitting, "The police have lost control of the streets." His advice was that no one should resist young hooligans unless sure of overcoming them. Otherwise, he said, "they will kill you." He noted that the British must just get used to the idea that a vast social change for the worse is under way.
All this begs the question: What happened to the principle of treating others as we would want to be treated? It seems obvious that an increasingly materialistic, self-absorbed and morally ambivalent society is failing its children. Can there really be any doubt that without family-based moral teaching, anarchy is the natural outcome?
Opposing voices say the problem is not the lack of education in values and morality but rather the lack of shared wealth. If poverty can be overcome, they believe alienation and street violence will cease. It is both a familiar argument and a delusion that plays to the worst in human nature. And it deeply divides those concerned about social decline. But material possessions are not the ground of moral behavior. There are examples in societies the world over where the less privileged and their children hold on to fundamental human values. Physical wealth may elude them, but they experience the benefits of moral and ethical certainty. In contrast, many in the affluent nations have lost that perspective.
The present world order is dominated by the pursuit of materialism and violence. It is a system that is destined to fail in the absence of the language and practice of right values. In an apocalyptic overview of a violent world beset by false standards, the biblical author John records the anguish of grieving merchants who cry out that "in one hour such great riches came to nothing" (Revelation 18:17). Their trade is in every kind of luxury item, but ominously also in the "bodies and souls of men" (verse 13). It is a system based on the get principle rather than on generosity of spirit.
Jesus stood for very different values. He said, "Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions" (Luke 12:15, English Standard Version). A lack of such goods does not lead to violence and alienation when right, godly values are in place. On the contrary, there is recognition that the Father will provide all that is necessary for life. Jesus spoke the language of right values and right priorities when He taught, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness [right values], and all these [material] things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33, ESV).

Environment - Biodiversity And Ecosystems by Helen Cox
Our global ecosystem is home to earth's entire collection of living organisms and the habitats in which they live. Biodiversity forms part of the earth's ecosystem and is short for biological diversity, a term used to describe the whole variety of life on earth.
Biodiversity doesn't just refer to rare species; it encompasses the diversity of all living things from the human race to micro-organisms. Biodiversity also refers to the amazing richness of habitats on earth such as snowfields, rain forests, mountain tops and the ocean floor. Even in a busy city park biodiversity is present as there are an enormous number of individual species living with it.
Biodiversity is a fundamental part of earth's life support as without it we wouldn't be able to survive. This is because no-one living organism lives in isolation; millions of organisms interact and contribute to the balance of the global ecosystem and the survival of the planet. It takes numerous organisms to regulate a natural process such as the growth cycle of plants, the mating season of animals and even our weather patterns.
Sadly however the planet is losing biodiversity at a rapid rate. Even though the normal course of evolution involves species to die out; the rate at which biodiversity is decreasing is extremely quick, much quicker than natural standards. So what is causing this decrease in biodiversity within our planet? There are a number of contributing factors that are causing biodiversity to come under threat from various dangers, sadly most of these factors are caused by the human race, an example being habitat loss and fragmentation. This is the primary cause of biodiversity loss; it refers to the clearance of vegetation for agriculture, housing, timber and industry. Habitat loss and fragmentation also refers to the draining of wetlands and the flooding of valleys to form reservoirs. By destroying habitats like this we are destroying organisms and therefore decreasing the biodiversity of our ecosystem.
Pollution is another contributing factor to the loss of biodiversity within our planets ecosystem. Pollution can affect all forms of life, whether they dwell in sea or on land. Transport, industry, construction, extraction and power generation are all contributors to the pollution of land, air and sea. These chemicals can directly affect biodiversity and cause chemical imbalances, which will kill species and there habitats.
One of the biggest threats however to biodiversity and also one of the largest environmental challenges facing the world today is climate change. Climate change is the result of co2 emissions, greenhouse gases, these gases are released when fossil fuels are burnt. Currently the world is emitting around 6.5 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year through burning coal, oil and gas and what is the world doing to help this? Cutting down the rainforest, destroying our landscape, getting rid of vital elements of nature that absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere - trees. The more vegetation and forestry that is destroyed, the more carbon dioxide will build up in our atmosphere.
Climate change will make our climate feel too hot for certain species and too cold for other, wiping out yet more of our biodiversity. More than 16,000 species are already endangered and the rate of extinction has been increased 1000 times. The greater demand for land within the world is threatening species. Our planets resources are already overused by about 25% and the polar bear population has declined by 30%.
The world is running up a serious ecological debt and our ecosystems are being degraded at an unprecedented rate. Climate change will cause a rise in sea levels and problems to many coastal ecosystems; the planet will suffer irreparable damage if action is not taken.
There is a time lag between when emissions occur and when we begin to feel their effects, we have yet to experience the damage done from the past 30 years. This doesn't mean climate change can be reversed, it means that everyone has to come together to make a difference now to stop the decline of our planet in years to come. Climate change cannot just be stopped by environmentalists alone; it must become the responsibility of everyone.

Love Does Not Die by Janelle Coulton
Love Does Not Die
Are there problems in your relationship right now? Does you partner want to leave? Are you feeling angry with each other? No-one who really loves you ever truly stops loving you. You may disappoint them in some way, they may feel angry with you, and think that love has gone but despite those feelings, your partner's love for you will not die if they truly love you. Love is eternal and everlasting. It is just sometimesnot so obvious.
The tricky part here is knowing if this persons love is real. I wrote a little about this recently on my home page at http://www.freewebs.com/jelbaby/ and this is really a topic that I would like to share more about with my readers. One writer, whose book I endorse on my site recently wrote to me and agreed with what I had to say.
If someone really loves you then being away from you and not in contact with you will drive them to insanity. On the surface they may say they don't want to be with you or talk to you, but deep down, they are missing your company more than I can put into words. Many couples fight and get angry with each other, but the love never dies. They disappoint each other at time, but when they are apart, they are not happy. Things go wrong in relationships all the time, there are those times when you and partner are just not getting along and perhaps you may argue with each other, and both parties within that relationship may think that love is gone. However this is just not true. If two people really love each other, then their love will not fade away.
It is what happens during the good times that will give you a clue about whether the love is real or not. The answers will just come to you. Having said that, more importantly it is what happens during the bad times that really show when love is real or not. Pay special attention to how your partner treats you during the bad times, for example; if you are sick or your children are sick or there is a crisis in the family. That is where the revelation will come. The strongest sign of real love with show up in your lives and you will have no doubts in that person's love for you.
It is the love that is present in our relationships that makes it so very hard to let go when couples break up. Many couples do not break up because they no longer love each other. It is in fact the opposite. They cannot solve their problems, so rather than to keep making each other more miserable they decide to go their separate way and find happiness with someone else. This is not the case for all relationships and marriages but it happens and I have to say that it is totally selfish thing to do sometimes. If two people share a life, a home, love between them and children or whatever it is they share, then it is my opinion that they fight like hell (excuse the term) to get their marriage or relationship back on track. I do not believe in divorce or breaking life long commitments. Many couples these days, choose not to marry and just live together and this is fine however, their relationship should be the same as if they were married.
Lastly I will say that there are only really three things worth breaking up or getting a divorce over and they are: Substance abuse, or any kind of addiction that a partner cannot overcome, any kind of abuse or in some cases, infidelity. In my eyes there is no other problem that couples cannot work out. If the love is still there and I believe that love does not die, then you can work at getting your relationship back on track. Crime And Punishment by Pavel Kastl
I would like to take a look at the always-repeating problem of crime and punishment from spiritual point of view. What I will write in the following lines can sound rather oddly, but I am convinced it's really true. One way or other, as many people believe it, all what we are doing is ruled by beings who govern to our Destiny. And sometimes, these beings can even force us to commit crimes.
All through the ages, the same scenario is repeated: somebody committed a crime, hurted by it somebody else and then he is punished for it, whereas the both of them suffer - both the victim and the criminal.
As it is known, a violence - crime and punishment in given case - begets another violence. And this sizeable scenario does not solve the always-repeating cycle of crime and punishment at all.
Let the law-makers and various impersonators and executors of imperfect and to my opinion wrong human "justice" realize, that the Right and Justify Court over each crime should consist of the following:
1. The judging of the convicted.
2. The judging of the bad spirit who forced the convicted to commit a crime (crimes are always committed - through people - by evil spirits).
3. The judging of him who sent the bad spirit to force the convicted to commit a crime = the judging of the highest bad spirits.
4. The judging of the God for ordering the highest bad spirits to send the bad spirit to force the convicted to commit a crime.
5. The judging of the Highest Universal Might for ordering the God to order that the highest bad spirits.
6. The sentence and affranchise of all.
This only right court would make the only right verdict regardless of what crime it would deal with! - and that would be this one: "All are convicted and are not convicted, all are found guilty and affranchised." This from the reason that anything is linked with everything and anything is the result of all the other and so are all the crimes.
As for the solution to crimes in human society, I know three ways of atonement:
1) The only fully efficient one, although to my dismay unrealizable, is a way back through the time and prevention of the crime.
2) The temporary and only partial atonement of the crime is the increasement of happiness in another life of the victim's soul.
3) A real solution for our future is the cancellation of the alternating of excessive good and excessive evil (since every of these two opposites forces it's own opposite to come to existence = excessive good forces excessive evil like it's opposite to occur and excessive evil beget not only excessive good like it's opposite but also another excessive evil to be repeated itself) or the interruption of our Karma = a change and a reshuffle of the way by which we all exist - of the whole human society in the way that no crimes would be committed in it any more.

Honor King's Wishes Everyday by Todd Hicks
Hooray! Martin Luther King Day is coming soon! That is great, right?
Every year, we use this holiday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and celebrate the ways he brought great change to The United States. The biggest thing he did to develop his legacy was to make it easier for people of all races in America to be given some freedom and respect.
King's wishes include world peace, harmony, love, respect, forgiveness and equality. It is important for us to spend every day of the year doing what we can to honor his wishes.
Follow some of King's sayings. He said he has a dream that someday his children will be judged by the content of their character instead of their skin. Employ this wish by making judgments of others based on how they conduct themselves and treat others. You will dishonor his dream if you hate others and assume they are bad people just because they have a dark skin color or belong to a minority race.
King spoke out against racism, prejudice and inequality. Focus on living each day of your life preventing interracial biases and hatred from entering your heart.
Job promotion inequality, pay inequality and criminal sentencing inequality are major problems. If you are an employer, do not deny an employee a merited promotion or pay raise just because he or she is a minority. Provide sensitivity training for the supervisors and managers. If you are a prosecutor or judge, do not seek or issue a harsh sentence for a defendant just because he or she is a minority.
Treat everyone you know and meet with respect. Forgive others and let them deal with what they have done to you. It is futile to hold grudges against anyone who did something wrong to you in the past. Each day you spend being angry at that person is another day you are miserable while the other person goes about his or her business without giving you much thought, if any.
To honor King's wishes, avoid legal trouble and stay alive, avoid violence at all times. Think before you say anything. Take the high road by not engaging in a name-calling match.
Although there is no longer sanctioned segregation in America, we still have a problem with segregation among ethnic groups. There is a lack of close interaction between different ethnic groups. Fight segregation by forming close relationships with people who do not belong to your racial class.
Strive to be compassionate. Help people who are less fortunate than you.
Do not neglect your friends. Never be too busy to return their calls or letters.
Fight injustices. Make your voice heard against sinful acts.
Follow all these steps to honor King's wishes everyday.

Overcoming The Symptoms Of Stage Fright by Tim Tropical
If you suffer from stage fright in any form then I'm sure that you would like to be able to overcome those problems. Since stage fright can take on many different forms and have a wide variety of symptoms so it is difficult to diagnose each case in one article. What we can do, however, is to speak about a few of the most common symptoms of stage fright and what you can do to overcome them. This will help to cover the basics and will also give you an idea of what you can do to overcome any additional stage fright symptoms that you may be experiencing. Here are the top three stage fright symptoms and what you can do to overcome them before you take the platform.
Dry Mouth - this is a very annoying problem to have, especially when you are going to be speaking in a public engagement. Because your dry mouth will cause you to do things like smacking your lips uncontrollably and it will also change the pitch and tone of your voice. If you are suffering from dry mouth then you need to take a moment to relax, and then go suck a lemon. This may seem like a rather flip comment, but it actually works. The sourness of the lemon will cause your mouth to produce saliva for a long period of time. If you are going to be speaking for a long time then have some lemon water on the platform for you to sip during your speech.
Shaky Hands - The problem of shaking is not usually confined to only the hands, but this is where it is typically noticed because of you holding your notes. At times your hands may shake so much that you are not able to read your own notes and this can bring your presentation to a screeching halt. Other then really being able to relax a little bit there are very few options to overcome this problem. I have found, however, that holding my notes with two hands will help a great deal. The only other option that you really have is to have a place to set your notes, such as a podium or perhaps even have them on a clipboard.
Shaky Knees - The problem of your knees knocking together is actually something that has been around for thousands of years, the first written instance of it being recorded in the Bible. So you are actually in good company when it comes to having a problem with shaking knees. There are also a few options to be able to overcome this, but one of the best ways is to shift your weight a little bit from side to side. It is necessary to stand straight with your feet below you in order to appear poised for your speech. But there is nothing wrong with shifting your weight slightly to overcome shaky knees provided you do not draw notice to it from your audience.
There are many other things that could go wrong whenever you are giving your speech. One of the best things to do is just to be prepared to take a deep breath during your talk without being too noticeable about it. The moment that you take a deep breath you will find that you will regain your composure to one degree or another.

Money Clip Wallets Are The Perfect Hybrid by Bradlley Mckoy
A man's wallet should accurately reflect his personality. So streamlined and sleek is obviously the way you want to go, right? You would not want a thick, bulky, unwieldy wallet now, would you? Money clips are often cited as a stylish alternative. But lots of guys who use them often find themselves with cards, bills, and IDs flying in all directions. Hard to be streamlined and sleek when you are a fumbling with all that stuff at a store's cashier.
More Than Just Looking Good
Money clip wallets are the perfect solutions to this problem. It strikes a great balance between style and function. What is it exactly? It is simply a wallet with a money clip.
Money clip wallets look like ordinary billfold wallets, but thinner. That is because there is no bill compartment. There are no side pockets either. The money clip runs through the center and there are usually slots for credit cards at the sides. There are some things you should look out for when you purchase money clip wallets.
Finding Perfection
Obviously, quality will differ between money clip wallets. You should examine the money clip itself. Open and close the clip repeatedly a few times. The opening action should be easier, but the grip should be a lot tighter when it snaps back into the closing position. This has to work with the spring mechanism of the clip. The best way to test it is to bring about 20 paper bills with you when you go shopping. Test the clip and make sure it holds all the notes in place. They should be tightly held if the spring mechanism is working well. You should also check if the money clip is affixed to the wallet, or if it can be detached. You should opt for a non-detachable clip as this eliminates the chance of the entire clip actually slipping out of the wallet without you noticing.
The money clip actually serves as the spine of money clip wallets. This makes the wallet stiffer than a typical billfold wallet. So choose a wallet that is made of soft and supple leather. This will prevent the money clip from being too much of a bother when it is in your pocket.
As mentioned earlier, money clip wallets are intended to be slimmer and sleeker than the ordinary billfold wallet. You should also look at what type of currency the wallet is made for. Some are designed for specific currencies like the U.S. dollar. Make sure you purchase the appropriate one for your use.
Style only comes with choosing the right money clip wallet. You do not want to fumble around because of a poor quality money clip wallet. You do not want your paper bills to be sticking out of the wallet and perhaps, inviting dishonest hands. Consider your needs and your personal style. Then factor in all the information above to make a wise purchase. A money clip wallet will be the perfect accessory for you.
